How to prepare for a gaming marathon?

Hours and hours in front of the console or PC is for many gamers the greatest pleasure they can experience with friends or acquaintances around the world. If this is the first time you face a challenge like this, there are some details you should know.

How to prepare a gaming marathon?

Most of the marathons are done during the late night. The first thing you have to take into account is hydration and food, since you will be in front of the monitor for hours concentrating on the game.

Ideally, you should have at least 2 liters of water at hand and a thermos of coffee. The effects of caffeine can be felt up to 4 hours after its ingestion, so it is your best bet to fight fatigue and sleep.

As for food, it is not recommended that you eat a heavy meal that day. Choose the lightest dinner you can and opt to have several snacks nearby if you get hungry. Nuts, seeds and energy bars are a good option.

If you don’t have a gaming chair, you should try to make the place you use to sit as comfortable as possible. Try to create the conditions so that the temperature is kept at a comfortable level for you to avoid feeling uncomfortable because of the heat or the cold.

Finally, you should check the condition of your equipment. Make sure that the keyboards, controls, batteries, connections, storage and other systems are working properly. The last thing you need is to interrupt the marathon because of a software or hardware error.

Since this is the first time you face a day of this kind, it is inevitable that you will end up tired. Eventually it will be a few hours of routine, allowing you to enjoy the games and the company of other gamers.
